Welcome to the MSXart'06 Wallpaper contest organised by The MSX Games bOX in cooperation with the The MSX Resource Center. It's the 4th edition with yet another challenge to unite MSX fans all over the world to create great new arts on the MSX theme. This year, MSXart'06 becomes a 'Two-in-One' event :

Both parts of MSXart'06 will be promoted through The MSX Games bOX, MSX Café and the MRC but the contest should be considered as one great big event! Get ready, let's start the show ! We count on your participation and your creativity to make some marvellous new artworks !

What can you win?

Our aim is to work towards the creation of a 2007 MSX print-calendar. At this early stage it is impossible for us to let you know exactly what this calendar will be (it depends on costs, number of pre-orders ...) but our goal will be to publish as much as possible of the artworks created for the occasion of MSXart'06 ! Of course, by participating you will get the chance to win a free copy !

Allowed Software

You are free to use any software and tools of your choice provided you can supply your entry within the guidelines specified below.

File Type to submit

JPG and preferrably a high-resolution file (PDF in 300dpi or native .PSD file).

Wallpaper Sizes

1024*768 pixels, others will be accepted but might not be suitable to be printed on the 2007 MSX Calendar.

Themes

There are no specific themes this year but to enter the contest, your art must be related to the MSX theme. You are entirely free to chose the one you like most but you can also get inspired by one of the following :

Submissions ?

E-mail your finished artwork to msxart06@msxgamesbox.com. Once received, I will try to put it online asap in the MSXart'06 gallery.
