- A MSX party. To do what ?
To let discover the MSX standard to visitors and to celebrate one more time the 25th anniversary of this system that was born in the middle of the 80's. But above all, for the pleasure to meet other MSX-users from France and beyond, eperienced or new to the system.

- Who is concerned?
Everybody is welcome. Without exception ! I am making this invitation to all MSX fans and curious people that can travel to Orléans, 100km south of Paris. Together we will blow the candles so to keep good memories of this meeting.

- Other meetings have been held elsewhere in the past, around the globe. Is this a personal event ?
Yes and no. I wanted to organise such event since years. I'll welcome in ORLEANS on the 25th and 26th of October 2008, all MSX-fans, and to offer the opportunity to those who missed the MSX meeting in the MO5 room in SAINT-OUEN last june, a second chance to meet.

- Why « Walter’s MSX Party » ?
I want to organise a named event, and to use the MSX logo with a different grahic. So I used my acronym and really french colors to bring a personal touch without forgetting the main goal: promote the meeting!

- Where is it taking place?
I am renting a room in a residence on the campus of Orléans' IUT University. It is adapted for this type of event, and is easily accessible.

- How to reach the event ?
By car, the main roads nearby are the N.20 or exit OLIVET / ORLEANS La Source if you take the motorway A.71, in direction of VIERZON. By train, get off at FLEURY-LES-AUBRAIS station, then take a tramway towards CHRO, which will bring close to the meeting place. You can also take the tramway from the main train station in ORLEANS. You should get off at UNIVERSITE-CHÂTEAU.

- Other useful information ?
The meeting place will be well indicated from rue de Châteauroux, and from the tramway stop. There are no parking problems next to the building, so it will be easy to unload your car. ORLEANS university is under video control.

- What's the particularity of this meeting ?
Your presence is more than welcome! We often communicate together through various websites and this will be a great opportunity to put a face in front of a name or pseudonym - and to share perspectives, exchange ideas or discuss projects. And of course, we will have some surprises!

- How to register ?
There is no registration. It's a party, without proper invite. You are totally free to participate or not! Nobody will be badged or checked at the entrance. But for the sake of organising food for everybody, please let me know if you intend to come by leaving an e-mail to Walter.MSX@live.fr.

- When do we eat ?
Food will be served from Saturday noon till the end of the day. Drinks, Sandwiches, Quiche Lorraine and Pizzas can be bought on the spot from 0.50€ to 1.00€. You will thus need to pay for the food. However Sunday's midday meal will be offered to all exhibitors. Herewith we mean only the people who are bringing and running MSX hardware. You can also get food from various restaurants and shops around.

- What do you need to prepare for this special « Party » ?
If you can, bring your own MSX hardware and software. Don't forget an electrical plug extension, exclusively a MSX computer and possibly a screen. This will contribute to a great day!

- Where to sleep ?
With a bit of luck, I can manage to rent a few student rooms at the University. However, to be safe, I strongly suggest you book a room in one of the nearby hotels. Of course, costs are at your charge.

The ELF tank station is open 24h/24. It's located at the angle of the rue de Bourges and the rue de Châteauroux.

There are numerous hotel chains nearby.

- The final word ? I am waiting with a lot of impatience the confirmation of your presence. If you have the opportunity to join us, don't hesitate a second! Take your MSX under your arms, or visit us as tourist, and participate to this celebration party which is also an unique occasion to meet french and international people who are attached to this machine, and to demonstrate to newbies that the MSX is still living! The final word ? Guess it ? In three letters : MSX.
